What I've done.

Since 2001 I have worked as a cameraman, editor, producer and director. All my work can be linked by a strong interest in unique and isolated communities; this common theme unites them. I started off as an underwater cameraman in the Red Sea, after 3 years I emerged from the sea to pursue my life long passion for travelling and interest in remote cultures, which has lead me to live, work and film all over the world. I enjoy embedding myself in a situation to give my films a unique and personal perspective. I am interested in a huge variety of subjects - from the jungles of Malaysia where I filmed my apprenticeship to a medicine man to India where I filmed the tough lives and challenges facing Delhi's street child gangs.

Working in the Sinai lead to the underwater film Oceano, which won 5 international awards, including a Best Editor award for me. My current film A Childish Place is set in a small Muslim community in Varanasi, North India and explores to what extent the children who live and work there can hold onto their childhoods.
